TogetherSF Action - Marketing Stars!

Fentalies

If course if they were a startup their marketing department and CEO would have been fired long ago for such shoddy work (hey Michael Moritz, fellow techBro, we are talking about you). It started with their epically weak Fentalife hate-the-addicted campaign.

"Embarrassing Blunder" of the Withdrawn Ballot Proposition

Ironically since both are bankrolled by Michael Moritz, the San Francisco Standard calls out TogetherSF Action for their epic blunder. They spent lots of Michael Moritz's funding to do fake research report that claimed that San Francisco needs to give more power to the mayor. Why, you might ask, is it called a "fake" report? It is because the researchers in the report clearly indicate that SF is a "strong-mayor city", yet the conclusions, based on talking to anonymous local political hacks (Mayor Brown, we hear you!), contradicted what the academic researches found.

But wait, that's not the embarrassing part. The epic blunder is that after spending all that money creating and submitting a ballot proposition to reduce checks and. balances on the mayor through commissions, they realized that this would actually take power away from the mayor so they withdrew the prop.

Amateur hour! Seems that billionaires would be bit more careful at who they throw their money at.

Supporting threatening Supervisor's families

Our ally Together SF Action has been at the forefront of our "spread the love" campaign. They truly appreciate that we simply need to force it to make sense, even it doesn't make any sense at all. Yes, Steve Jobs "reality distortion" lives on with those epic thought leaders at Together SF (thanks for the funding, Michael Moritz!). Once again they have solidly taken on the TechbroSF position, just crushing the supporting of threats to Supervisor's families.

For those who it still doesn't make sense for, Together SF would like to remind you that when Mayor London Breed became mayor in July 2018 that profits soared. Just look at this awesome chart below:

Ethical billionaires don't exist

Picture
TogetherSF decided to use their Michael Moritz funding to do a fake "beautification campaign" where local artists were hired to paint some murals as part of a publicity campaign. Turns out TogetherSF was just looking for photo ops and the beautification part was completely optional. The artists found out that this campaign was completely fake so they took "artistic liberty" and created a mural directed at Michael Moritz by stating "ethical billionaires don't exist". At least the billionaire's money went to a good place!

Repeatedly used clip art from another place or time

TogetherSF is the ultimate purveyor of the doom-loop dystopian hellscape narrative. They regularly have tweeted pictures showing how awful San Francisco is. But wait a second, if they are trying to show how horrible San Francisco is then why are they using old stock photos, usually from other cities?? Seems that if they were actually interested in improving SF then they should use use genuine current photos of local issues, and then spend money on actual solutions.

The fake City Farmers Market incident

As part of their doom-loop narrative, TogetherSF Action started to publicize an insane story of how the Heart of the City Farmers Market was unsafe due to "Fentalife". They even had pictures! But it turns out the story and the pics from their (now deleted) tweet were completely fake. The pic was an Adobe stock photo from outside of San Francisco, and not even of a farmers market. TogetherSF was even called out by the Chronicle for spewing fake news, which thankfully got them to delete their tweet.

Definitely a stock photo from someplace else

Hmmmmm, that is definitely not San Francisco

After the farmers market incident you would figure that TogetherSF Action would never be so dumb to use a stock image again. Well, you would be wrong! Next they tweeted about "just look at any San Francisco street" along with a picture that was clearly not from San Francisco, but instead Los Angeles. And once again they used a stock photo, this time from iStock. Do the TogetherSF marketing folks even live in San Francisco??

Indeed a stock image from Los Angeles!

Stock photo from different era

TogetherSF Action would never possibly screw things up a third time, would they? Well, they did! After being called out twice for using stock images from elsewhere they apparently wised up and decided to only use images from SF to try to highlight problems we are currently facing. But since they apparently couldn't find conditions that were sufficiently bad for their "just look at any SF street" campaign they once again resorted to using a stock photo. This one was from the very beginning of the pandemic when everything was quite different. How different? Turns out that several years ago that area was opened as a nice park and there are no unsheltered people to be found. But that apparently doesn't fit the false narrative of TogetherSF Action.

Oh my gawd. "Just look at any SF street" and you will see this

Oh jeez, another stock photo, this one from beginning of pandemic, several years ago

This has been a pleasant park the past couple of years

TechbroSF Conclusion:

Hey Michael Moritz, you've been pwned by TogetherSF. Time to fire that CEO.
